The Brain Drain Project

Reversing Brain Drain in Africa

African immigrant professionals are found in all parts of the world today.  The economic, intellectual and social cost of this phenomenon is staggering. The AUF is committed to effectively reversing this trend by re-engaging and re-integrating African immigrant professionals into the higher education sector in Africa. How?

The Digital Learning Technology Lab (DLTL) project, a virtual classroom, will allow African professionals in the diaspora to inject their expertise into Africa's higher education sector from where they live.

AUF raises funds to design, build and equip one virtual classroom in every member university. AUF would engage expert African immigrant professionals abroad to become an invaluable source of manpower for an enhanced higher education system in Africa.

AUF is committed to building a database of all African experts in the diaspora who are already engaged in strengthening skills- based higher education in Africa or are interested in doing so.
